Simple Venue, the hospitality group most know for it's NYC restaurant concepts, Sushi by Boū and Sushi Suite, is at it again with its second Chicago-based project. The hospitality group specializes in micro restaurants, bringing incredible sushi concepts to underutilized spaces. Their newest concept, Sushi Boutique, will be housed on the first floor of the picturesque ClaridgeHouse Hotel. Located in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast, Sushi Boutique will bring a luxurious, upscale take on the proximate sushi scene.
Sushi Boutique's sister restaurant, Sushi Suite 202, will remain serving unmatched omakase offerings out of Hotel Lincoln, with its delicious flavors and high-quality ingredients carrying over into the different plates and bites offered at Sushi Boutique. But the quality and passion behind the food is where the similarities will likely end. Sushi Boutique will have its own unique concept and feel, catering to a wider number of diners and moving away from the one-on-one feel of the more private, speak-easy vibes of Sushi Suite.
Chef Jordan Dominguez and the Simple Venue team is excited to offer Chicago a new sushi spot with a very "Sex and the City vibe."The restaurant's menu will feature upscale bites, high-end prices, and lot's of variety. Sushi Boutique will be the perfect spot for a girls-night-out, or a lavish date-night. For those looking for a good time but not ready to commit to a full night out on the town, Sushi Boutique will be the place to be, and a place to be seen.
After tasting some of their bites during a preview, we can attest to the quality and the decadence. Each signature roll is unique and full of fancy ingredients. Think caviar, truffle, uni, king crab fancy. If you are looking to "treat-yo-self" this is the place to do it. With so many fun options you wont know what to chose, and that is never a bad problem to have. We recommend the salmon & tuna tartar, the 12:44 boutique signature roll, and any of their hand rolls.
Sushi Boutique is geared-up to open October 1st, but has not been confirmed. Reservations will be available through the Sushi by Boū website and can be found HERE after opening day.

Gluten-Free / Celiac PSA: Also exciting for the #glutenfreegang , if you give the restaurant notice and inform your servers, almost any menu item can be made, or is already gluten free. The restaurant uses exclusively gluten-free soy sauce, tamari, and has a special potato starch batter for most fried items. They are also mindful of cross-contamination and have a dedicated fryer on the way!
