Chicago Sushi Patio Guide

Now that Chicago has successfully moved into phase III of reopening, the restaurant scene has been booming with patio offerings and window-side dining. So what does that mean for the sushi community? While many sushi bars are still closed, a handful of places have opened up their doors, following strict open-air guidelines. Read below for some of the options we rounded up.

 

SUSHI DOKKU

West Loop - 823 W Randolph St


We have always loved Sushi Dokku for it's fun environment and location, but we have grown a new appreciation for their fresh fish!


How to dine: Walk-ins only. We suggest walking over, putting your name down, and walking around west loop until your table is ready!

COVID safety: Tables are appropriately distanced, staff is respectful and wearing their masks, menu's are thrown away after each table's use.


 

HUB 51

River North - 51 W Hubbard St


Hub 51, Il Porcelino, and Ramen-San have all teamed up to offer patrons a super patio experience, offering items from each menu.

YELLOWTAIL

Lakeview - 3136 N Broadway


We haven't hit up Yellowtail YET but are excited to head over to this little gem off Broadway street soon!

UNION SUSHI & BBQ

River North - 230 W Erie St

Always a safe go-to, Union Sushi is a simple sushi joint for a casual date night or quick dinner.

ENSO SUSHI

Wicker Park - 1613 North Damen Avenue


Enso is the perfect casual sushi spot for yummy rolls. Window tables are now available for dine-in.

ROKA AKOR

River North - 456 N Clark St

Roka Akor is the perfect spot for a fancy sushi dinner.

SUNDA

River North - 110 W. Illinois


Sunda is such a Chicago sushi staple. With such a wide variety of cuisine on their menu, even a non-sushi eater will enjoy.

CABRA - CEVICHERIA

West Loop - 200 N Green St


Cabra's rooftop screams Chicago summertime. Thank goodness they are back and ready for business. Reservations are extremely hard to come by so make sure to check frequently.

SHINE

Lincoln Park - 756 W Webster Ave


Shine has been on our list for some time. We are always walking by and the outdoor dining looks like a great place to grab a bite after a day at the park (super close to Oz Park)

SEADOG

We have yet to dine at Seadog Sushi but have heard good things!

SUSHI SAN POP-UP

River North - RPM on the Water Event Space

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing Sushi San's pop-up Omakase. They said they plan to do more in the future!


How to dine: Please follow their instagram page closely for future events/experiences.

COVID safety: Tables are well spread out and menu's are offered through a QR code for less contact.
